ICETODIRON 2007 SE: Deep Metaphors in the Cold Music Pulse (press).

When the spring is turning to summer, AUTARKEIA organisation, promoting independent industrial subculture, will hold probably its most spectacular and exclusive event in its history. On Saturday, 02 June 2007, the fans of serious music will hear and behold the entire pleiad of the global stars of atmospheric electronics from Lithuania, Sweden and Italy in AUTARKEIA’s ninth international festival of industrial/ambient, ICETODIRON 2007 SE. Six projects will play in the festival: Donis (Lithuania), ORO!ORO! (Lithuania), Frozen Faces (Sweden), Gustaf Hildebrand and Peter Bjargo (Sweden), while the most intriguing projects on the stage will be cult Scandinavian project Arcana and the star of experimental ambient Bad Sector from Italy.

Arcana is a subtle and nearly best-known Scandinavian dark wave/neo-classical project, which has taken over vast auditoria of music fans and earned a fortune for the Swedish label Cold Meat Industry. Arcana records released by this label have been the best-selling and most sought albums by the lovers of dreamy electronic music all round the world. For its sound the Swedish project is likened to the famous Swans or Dead Can Dance, while the music critics claim that in certain aspects Arcana, which was in any case under the influence of Dead Can Dance, has excelled its predecessors.

Bad Sector must be the most famous Italian electronics musician worldwide. His music surpasses any style limits, since one can identify the variations of ambient, minimal and experimental in it. He uses the signals of military machinery and the sounds emitted by a variety of natural phenomena as the source of his music sound. Although the Italian’s music construction is based on the scientific approach to sound and different frequencies, he is known for an exceptional emotionality. The musician develops his own hardware technologies for generating sounds. The composer claims that due to certain reasons the concert of Bad Sector in Lithuania may be the last.

Lina Baby Doll, the general of Deutsch Nepal, which has thrown a gig in Lithuania just a month ago, will come on the festival stage with his harsher project Frozen Faces. Laurynas, the composer of persuasive and deep ambient as well as the flagman of Girnų Giesmės, will introduce his new atmospheric masterpiece ORO!ORO!. Swedish dark ambient star Gustaf Hildebrand together with Arcana leader Peter Bjargo will offer an interesting atmospheric minimalist music to the audience, while the famous Lithuanian project Donis will present his latest ambient album Alexandreia, which pulsating with the noble spirit of antiquity has already conquered myriads of fans worldwide.

The festival will take place in a new and rather unusual venue, that is, the Russian Drama Theatre at Basanavičiaus g. 13, Vilnius. All guests will have a seat. Ticket price: LTL 100 or 30 EURO.
